Is there a PAL/NTSC region on Access Keys?
My uncle lives in the UK and I live in the Americas, He was going to buy me the guild wars collection from over there and mail it to me, My question was and still is, would it work on my computer here in the USA? And would I still be able to play it online, since ingame there are international districts which people can switch to. Or is it a region based access key only, Like a PAL/NTSC lock on a code? I'm hoping my question was typed out correctly and it makes some sense. Anyway thankyou for your time and have a wonderful morning, day, evening, whichever it may be for you. Ciao!

Yes.
The codes for the most part are universal,US/EU/Asia codes can be used anywhere in there world regardless of where the key was bought.I believe there is a small limitation however, im not sure if its china or korea or what, but one of those countries key might not work, but im not so sure about that, but thats not your questions so I wont continue. About districts, It wont make a difference, Its either the key or your info which you put in when you create a account which decides which district you start the game in, but this district ( and the default choice) can be changed in game and you can go to whichever district no matter whichone you "choose" as home ditrict.I believe the restriction applies here again, in which either Korea or China districtor only for residents of that country, but this is not what you asked for again so I wont continue. |

Oh thankyou very much friend. I shall happily email him right now! If they sold that darn collection here, We wouldn't have to go through that trouble. All 4 games and 2 extra storage slots for 21 GBP, quite a deal if you ask me. Anyway thankyou again sir.

You could also save your uncle the shipping expenses. Since you don't need the actual discs to play the game, he could mail you just the access keys... or even email them to you. Then you could install Guild Wars through the client here, plug in the access keys, and be enjoying the game even sooner.

Wow, I didn't know about that. Thankyou very much, I've only played on my room mates laptop a few times so I figured you needed the disks. Well now knowing that you don't, that is a much better idea. I'll go and email him another time now. Thankyou all and have a wonderful day guys.
